Pinterest headlines have to accomplish several things at once because they need to communicate the topic while also giving people a reason to click. How do you approach writing them?

Typically, I open with the keyword/main topic and add an advantage or hooking element without being clickbaity. Headlines that are short and straightfoward do well compared to ones stuffed with keywords.

The overlay text on the image is doing most of the clicking, so I write that first and let the title carry the keyword. Titles get cut off around 40 characters in the feed anyway, so the front half is all that really works.

The other thing is people on Pinterest are planning, not looking for an answer. A qualifier does more than a clever hook, small kitchen, renters, under $50, no sewing. Narrowing it beats making it sound exciting.

Usually just keyword + benefit + a bit of curiosity. Nothing too clever. people are scrolling fast so the headline needs to make sense instantly.

Absolutely, clarity beats Pinterest every time. I tend to include the keyword early on, followed by an obvious benefit or curiosity factor that isn’t clickbaity.

I start with the main keyword so the topic is immediately clear, then add a specific benefit or outcome. The headline should sound natural and match what the pin actually delivers. Clear titles usually work better than vague or overly dramatic clickbait.
