The antispam plugin I'm using for the comments no longer works, WPBruiser. Can you guys please recommend me a working one which is also free?

Try Antispam Bee, as it is free and has worked well for me when dealing with comment spam on WordPress. If you find that bots attack your website, then you should also consider using a simple honeypot and CAPTCHA.

I think only usable alternatives is akismet anti-spam, so this one completely free for use.

I’d recommend giving Antispam Bee a try. It’s free, actively maintained, and works well for WordPress comment spam without requiring CAPTCHA. Just make sure you’re using the default WordPress comment system, as it doesn’t work with some third-party comment plugins

You can try Akismet Anti-Spam or Antispam Bee. Both are popular free options and can help protect your WordPress comments from spam. I’ve heard good results from them.

I have experienced succes when it comes to using antispam bee in the scenario of spam comments on wordpress blogs. It is a free tool nd also vry light in nature.

Antispam bee is simply the best tool for this job in my opinion.
As for me, Antispam Bee is gud for all cases of simple comment spamming, so nothing too complex need to be installed.

i use CleanTalk on a few sites, but if u need free, Antispam Bee is probably the first one i'd test.

Akismet is worth trying for basic comment spam. A simple CAPTCHA or honeypot can also help reduce automated submissions.
