Well that’s a good start for a new domain! Impressions are going up and the traffic will pick up naturally when the site gets older.

In your experience, how do you tell the difference between a normal new-site spike and a site that's actually starting to gain traction? Any specific GSC signals you look for?

You generally have to look at what happens after the spike. A website that's starting to gain sustainable traction will get impressions from more pages. When you start seeing impressions settle at a higher baseline instead of dropping back down, you'll know it has stabilized.

Tbh, I wouldn't even look at the data for the next 3 months. Keep doing what you're doing and keep creating content.

It's time to upgarde your post contents naturally and make some link building in high authority sites to gain some domain authority and to improve your website's traffic, maintain your site in same way so you can move to the niddle.
