What is everyone's things they do when they set up a site first to get it moving? Getting it from not existing to being out there and beginning to become successful/gain DR? i'll give mine;

New wordpress install
Spend a few hours on the theme
Decide editorial direction and get posts using highly specific prompts from chatgpt
Create and link social accounts to syndicate posts automatically
Link to it from my existing relevant sites

Man, i really REALLY like wordpress... but nowadays, i've been using node+react or similar infrastructure, because wordpress sites, when they began to get bigger, needs lots of twerts to run fast, while node+react are speed focused. All in all i do almost the same to you, just shared my experience using wordpress 10+ and moving out of it

I would do lighter websites but the problem is i'm stupid and can't code (fully ai generated sites seems lazy and probably looks bad) and wordpress makes it very very easy to start, even in some cases i'll get chatgpt to generate like hundreds of posts scheduled to post in the future and i can literally just entirely forget about the site for a year, i can imagine hosting on those coded sites is cheaper tho

I usually focus on the site structure first then publish a few strong pieces of content and build internal links before thinking about backlinks I also make sure indexing analytics and basic technical SEO are properly set up from the start

If not for classic themes, wordpress is too slow. I use React Native for its speed and versatility>load up Ai curated content>create internal links>run analytics>attach backlinks

I'd add a few things before pushing content:

Technical setup → keyword/topic map → 5–10 strong cornerstone pages → internal linking → Search Console/Analytics → relevant citations/links → then consistent publishing.

I’d also focus on topical relevance and real value first, rather than trying to increase DR quickl

Bro, i began with fully generated ai sites, and the results is limited by your knowlege. It will be generic if you don't know how to point the design structure and everything else, but as someone with the same background experience as you, it's quite easy to replicate results from wordpress on react+node with instructions... also, youtube will help you with anything else you need

It'll be the best decision ever bro. Not only it's extremely fast, but also you could host almost any site at options with no cost at all (either vercel or cloudflare pages + supabase). I used to host clients sites on a cloudways server, never needed anymore, and the sites are lightning fast. And mind that i deal with sites from 5000 user monthly to sites up to 1M+ users monthly. To me this is the future of backend and hosting.

I don’t try to make the site “finished” on day one. I get the core pages live, see what Google starts picking up, then use that data to decide where to focus next. Saves a lot of wasted content.

starting off with a bang will be ideal in this case just get the main web pages out there and write two gud article, then watch what the GSC is telling us before we proceed.

I usually spend more time on the first 20 topics than the first 100 articles. If the topic selection is right, content production becomes much easier afterwards.

start with a clear niche and site structure solid technical SEO useful original content and basic analytics/Search Console setup build relevant internal links and gradually promote the site through legitimate channels rather than focusing on DR alone.

My setup: GSC/GA4 + sitemap submitted day 1 b4 anything else, then pillar page + 5-6 supportin cluster articles (not random posts) so internal linkin has structure from the START, schema markup baked into the theme template

this is why I believe in the no pressure approach, since if the 20 topics are completed excellently, there would not be any wastage material at all in the future. GSC will assist in determining which materials should be marketed.

as for me my first objective would be to make sure that the site is credible nd crawlable prior to thinking about the domain rating. in particullar i would do the following: create the account on search console submit the sitemap, structure the main pages nd post several useful articles on one specific topic.

Once there’s some initial data, I’d look at which pages are getting impressions and expand those topic clusters rather than publishing randomly. For authority, I’d focus on earning relevant links and mentions instead of chasing DR alone.
