nah they arent majority owners. vanguard and blackrock just manage massive index funds and etfs so they end up holding shares in pretty much every public company by default. its usually like 5% or 10% max, definitely not a controlling stake. same deal with google tbh. they dont really run the day to day stuff, they just hold the assets for passive investors.
