Are TikTok Duets Still Effective?

Do you think Duets still help creators reach new audiences, or is original content more effective now?

Yes. Duets can be used to conneect to the existing subject, but the original is better when you have more control over the hook and retention. I would do both rather than focusing on just one.

duets still work when you add a strong reaction explanation or new angle. simply sitting next to a viral clip is much weaker. original content should be the base and duets can be used for discovery

duets work if you add something useful, simply adding a duet to point quietly at the other video or adding a looping animation is not going to get you far these days
