Hi all, I'm wondering what your experiences are with building a website and doing SEO in a YMYL niche?

I'm about to go into one, and I know it's not as easy as other niches.

So any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated before I start.

YMYL is definitely harder, but honestly trust is the biggest thing. Use legit sources, show real expertise, keep the site transparent, and focus on actually helping people. Takes longer, but worth it imo.

YMYL will definitely require some additional work in terms of building up its credibbility from the very beginning. for me the most important aspects will be the information about the author the reliability of sources practical value of the content nd realism of the statements.

I meant who is behind the site, where the info comes from and not hiding anything important from users. you are already focused on helping people you are on the right track.

IN my opinion do not focus on publishing a lot of content quickly. In YMYL niches, it is better to create few but more accurate trustworthy pages.

100% this what I plan to do.

No mass publishing, human content only.

Maybe do a bit of research with A.i

Oh good dont forget to fact check anything you get from AI before publishing. Especially in YMYL accuracy matters a lot.

Because I am behind the site.....but I'm not a legitmate expert..... but have I have very close contacts (friends & clients) who are.

A friend of mine rented authorities for his website. Let me give you an example. You write the blog post/article, but an authority in the niche/topic will review the content. So you will have two authors in a visible place on the webpage related to the content: the writer (you, for example) and a rented authority person who will have an author profile on your website.

So where do I find an authority?

Would i have to find some articles published by them and ask them to verify my conent or something?

He used X and LinkedIn. But I guess you also use Medium and Substack newsletters.
