I need a good average on what to charge for SEO Services

Before I go full force i want to know what the going rate for SEO services are for these local businesses. Like for example what is the avg? What is too low and too high?

It depends on how much the person get's per customer and how many searches a month and of course competition. Let's say I'm doing SEO for a NY Criminal Lawyer and that's the keyword and it get's 60k searches a month and competition is a 7/10 hard and he get's paied 400-500 per customer I would charge $5k without a doubt and throw some ppc up while the site is moving up so he will be satisfied.

what about business other than like doctors and lawyers, obviously they are BANKING so prices would be pretty high per month...what about landscaping businesses, or Painting, cleaning services, deck and fence, you know what im saying

it depends on who they are.
Personally i think people that own there own businesses dont have a clue what SEO is so for maybe a hairdressers charge them a couple 100 dollars a month to keep them top?

But if its some business like a dentist that can make 100's just of one visit because of you i'd charge a good grand or 2 haha

Painter for instance I would charge no more than $500. Depends on location, I wouldnt sell yourself for less and would charge $200 minimum. Get 20 painters a month and that's around $5,000 net .

Just don't give them any promises or that will ******** you over in the long run. You should get a lawyer to make a contract for you if you're serious about this business

In my experience the smaller service industries aren't really worth the effort. You charge them a price you think is too low, they think it is too high and have unrealistic expectations (no matter what you tell them up front) and they are usually a support nightmare. A $200 per month client will usually take up more of your time than a 5k client and be talking smack about you to all of his friends (other business owners) even though you have them on top of goog for a dozen keywords.

Unless you just look at them as a quick cash scam for 3 months and use a different name or work out of town they are useless. Stick with the big ticket advertisers who will be happy just to see their site on top of goog.

I wouldn't charge less than $500 a month and that is low. You'll find out that it is too much trouble to target anyone without a high transaction value for their service. Small businesses with low transactions just isn't worthit.

For a good SEO usually there is a charge between $5000 to $8000
and after this is complete, you can charge a monthly fee to keep them on top google page.
