I've been working across many fields, both well-known and lesser-known, for a long time.
Lately I've been building the most powerful SaaS, but it's not easy. I'm exhausted.

The other day, I caught myself daydreaming about a $10 million I don't even have, and somehow it still didn't feel like enough.

A friend of mine who always kept his ambitions small ended up losing everything.
What I'm trying to say is, aiming high can strengthen your goals and your work ethic, but I don't think that's where happiness comes from.
What are you up to? What do you expect from life? Do you see a way forward?

Let's chat for a bit, mate.
Are you doing well?

I'm driven and derive happiness from the processes, building the project, making the sale, increasing sales/turnover by X % over X period etc. Monetary value in itself isn't the driving factor, it's just a side effect - in terms of motivation. Thankfully the two go together hand in hand.

hi,
What are you investing in in the real world?

hi,
What are you investing in in the real world?

I'm very much a "behind the desk" type guy! I do have investments in real world companies but they don't make up more than say, 10% of my net worth. I suppose the only other real world investment could be considered the house I've got a mortgage on.

You?

I own two hamburger restaurants. I'm investing in energy and land because, as you know, all of our jobs will probably be gone within 5–8 years. :)

not very well, reddit recent updates destroyed my ass, need to think about something else
A good SaaS product can keep you afloat, but everything is advancing so fast now. That's why you need to be careful.
I'm an expert in Telegram. I wish I knew a few things about Reddit.

What is a niche?

We often do not dream big enough. Go for it all. If you hope to just have bills paid, that is all that will happen, so set the bar high from now on. You deserve it!

I keep short term and long term objectives. But I don't obsess over these objectives. Over a period of time I've realized my mental and physical health is more important than anything else.
Do aim high, but short term failures are only learning lessons, not the end of story.

I'd say you're doing pretty good!

BTW just saw a news feature about a Chinese restaurant 100% run by robots :suspicious:

As you mentioned, if our jobs are going to disappear within the next 5–8 years, are you also considering shifting some of your investments toward AI to hedge against the risk of unemployment in the future?

Honestly, I’m starting to think the same way. In the AI era, it feels like only those with significant capital, genuinely good ideas, and the ability to compete at the highest level will come out on top. For lower- and middle-tier investors, entrepreneurs, and developers, competing is likely to become increasingly difficult.

Everyone, myself included, has been moving toward building SaaS products, but at this point there are already dozens of alternatives for almost everything. As AI makes software development even more accessible, I think this market will become even more saturated. Simply building “another SaaS” may no longer provide much of a competitive advantage.

I think AI’s biggest impact could actually come from areas like biochemistry, physics, materials science, energy, and industrial technology. The problem is that these fields are far beyond what an individual developer or small entrepreneur can easily enter. They require serious capital, laboratories, infrastructure, and specialized expertise.

That’s why, instead of trying to compete directly with AI, I think it makes more sense to identify the industries and companies that will benefit from AI’s growth and invest in the right places. Maybe the real opportunity in the next decade won’t be building another SaaS product, but recognizing early which industries AI is going to transform.

In my view finance alone will exhaust people. building something u love nd having the objective ahead will help make thing easier. there will be many change to come for artificial intelligence, but adaptation has always been a part of business.

Doing good mate, For me, peace of mind and enjoying the journey are just as important as reaching the goal.
