What's the best tool for tracking keyword rankings right now?

I’ve been testing SE Ranking lately. It feels more responsive for volatile niches, and you can set up more frequent ranking checks than with Ahrefs. For pure rank tracking, it’s worth a look.

I've had good results with Semrush for regular tracking but for very volatile niches I'd also compare the data with Google Search Console since rankings can move quite a bit day to day

I would choose semrush as all-around solution, and accuRanker is better for those who need rank tracking as their primary taskk

Semrush is one of the best options for viewing your keyword rankings, but if you want something even more precise, there's GSC :v

Semrush won't fix that. Bigger suite than Ahrefs, but the rank tracking runs on the same kind of schedule, so you'd be switching without solving the thing you're switching for.

I haven't used the fast-refresh trackers, so I'm not going to name one. What I'd say is you want a dedicated rank tracker rather than another all-in-one. The suites all update on a cycle, and the specialists are the ones actually competing on speed. Worth looking in that direction rather than swapping one suite for another.

Before you spend anything though, check it's not just noise. Different location, different device, personalization, and a keyword looks like it moved when nothing did. Lock the location, split device, see what's left. A lot of what people chase as volatility turns out to be the tool.

Keep Ahrefs either way. Running a tracker alongside is normal, no need to replace one with the other.

I’d probably keep Ahrefs for backlinks and research, then use a faster tracker for the keywords you actually care about.

Ahrefs is great for backlink audits, but its rank tracker is way too slow for fast-moving or volatile niches. If you need live numbers, go with AccuRanker. It updates keywords on demand with a click and handles fast SERP shifts without lagging behind.

If you are tracking thousands of queries on a tighter budget, SERPWatcher or SERProbot are solid alternatives, but for pure speed and on-demand refreshes when positions swing hourly, AccuRanker is what actually holds up.

I've been using Ahrefs, but I'm looking for something that updates more frequently for volatile niches.
I’ve tried a few different rank trackers, and honestly, the best one depends on what you’re tracking. For regular SEO work, I’d look for accurate daily updates, good SERP data, and easy reporting. I’d also test a couple before settling on one.

I’d look at Semrush or LowFruits. Both can be useful for tracking changes in volatile niches, though Ahrefs is still solid for deeper analysis.
