I read that next year, Youtube is planning to double their requirements to join their partnership program and start getting paid.

Who's still procrastinating their youtube journey?

YT should be something you’re building on the side, if/when it lifts off it’s a plus. Making videos for the sake of getting monetized usually ends in pumping out bad content. Also, apart from getting paid form video monetization there’s also other lucrative ways to make some $$ through YT, by funneling the traffic for example.
Can you explain a bit about funneling the traffic?

Yeah, effective February next year, it will come into effect. My worry is the rush that will produce half baked contents. Since YouTube is the boss of all of them, other sites might follow suit. Let's there prepare our minds for this major shift.

Actually they should make requirements even higher. Less saturation, higher earnings per creator.

They've also been banning accounts associated with AI contents

That's great move in my opinion. This will allow only serious content creators remain on the platform and in exchange we got the quality content instead of trash. but they should also increase creators payout. In India It's too small as compared to world despite having largest user base.
