I run a fairly successful (at least in my niche) gaming website, whose domain can be infered from my username. I’m constantly being approached about guest posts, which I’m actually considering, as this would be an additional source of income.

However, I’m not quite sure how much a guest post on my website is worth. And secondly, I’m not sure whether it could harm my website. I assume it’s fairly safe, as the majority of traffic comes either directly or via brand keywords.

The DR is 36 and the number of visitors over the last 7 days was around 47,000.

IMO, however, the risk is not that much associated with the guest posting but rather with accepting too many poor quality links. With 47k weekly visitors, I would charge according to the niche, traffic, and placement of the link.

I will determine the cost taking into consideration the volume of traffic nd niche, not only the DR. In addition, if it is a gaming website, then all the out-bound link have to be checked thoroughly.

certainly, having a 47k visitors per week is surely a big asset, but I recommend that you do not rely only on DR while calculating the prices for your services. It is crucial that you take into account the traffic quality nd niche relevancy.

With 47K weekly visitors, I wouldn't price the guest post based on DR 36 alone. Your real value is the combination of traffic, gaming relevance, audience quality, and placement.

I'd accept guest posts selectively only relevant, useful content from credible advertisers. Keep unrelated/spammy topics and aggressive anchor-text requests out. For paid placements, use the appropriate sponsored/nofollow attributes.

Done this way, guest posting can become a good additional revenue stream without turning the site into a link-selling platform. I'd also set a clear editorial policy and fixed pricing based on placement and audience value rather than just DR.

with 47k visitors a week, i'd definitely consider monetizing it, but don't base the price on DR alone. traffic, niche, and audience quality matter more. be selective with advertisers. irrelevant or low quality guest posts can make the site look like a link farm.

IMO, fewer relevant deals at a decent price are much better than filling the site with random guest posts.
