What happened with Google last night? Suddenly, search engine results were changing by the minute; even my expired domains—which had been ranking for months—have now vanished without a trace

They’ve been messing with things all this month, I noticed massive shifts and movements going on right at the start of the month and have been monitoring it ever since.. still trying to work out what it’s targeting though.

Ha ha everybody.

It sounds like Google may have been experiencing volatile SERP fluctuations or an algorithm/indexing adjustment which can temporarily hit expired domains especially hard.

If multiple domains disappeared simultaneously then I’d wait 24–72 hours before making major SEO changes and monitor indexing, rankings and Search Console.

Wait for few days to see if it comes back. Until then just do as usual, don't make big changes. I just checked some of my client's ranking, they are stable for now.

i m pretty new to this but i noticed there’s been a lot of google SERP volatility around Aug 12 13, so it might not be just ur domains. i would probably wait a few days before changing anything major. Has anyone else here seen expired domains completely disappear like this?
