I have a blog that is like 3 years old. It honestly is a blog I do nothing with. It was the first domain I ever bought when I first got started. I keep it just for sentimental value. I could promote it and get tons of traffic to it if I wanted, but it isn't a site that I am going to put any money into.
It is an auto blog in a tough niche, really tough. The domain doesn't have any keywords in it at all. And before I get the reply "get a new domain with keywords in it", as I mentioned above I am keeping it for pure sentimental value.
About a year ago, I had it getting over 500 unique visitors/day (according to Google Analytics). We all know G Analytics low balls our traffic. I mean if you login to your cpanel and look at what it tells you your unique visitors are, it is always way higher. Also the WP Statpress plugin I use, tells me way higher stats. So I look at is as 500 uniques/day according to G Analytics is effin good.
When it was doing this, I was using Unique Article Wizard to autoblog for me. I had WP Write Again making it "unique" content.
I also had All In One SEO Pack. Had a plugin that showed the latest posts, latest comments. At the bottom of every post, it listed like 5 other related posts on my blog. Every post it made, it also pulled a bunch of related blogs to link to. This gave me a bunch of link backs.
Well a long time ago, that site went to crap. I can't recall exactly what happened, but I had a crash and that whole site was lost. Just as quickly my 500 uniques per day were lost as well.
I also had max blog press ping optimizer. You gotta ping every time a post is made
---
I set everything back up. Only didn't do anything with it. It wasn't autoblogging or anything. I just put WP back up on it and a template. Then left it for months.
A few months ago I put WP Robot on the blog (instead of UAW). In my opinion WP Robot should be better, and I using either of the two should have gotten me back up to the same numbers.
So It has been autoblogging for a few months now again. I have EVERYTHING the same as far as setup, except for two things.
1) I don't have wp write again running. (I had a lady contact me about how it butchered her article. And requested either i removed it or turned off the re-writing on it). I am actually going to turn wp write again on today.
2) I can't for the life of me find the plugin that grabbed a bunch of related blog posts based on keywords from the post. I just found one here on BHW, but it is one that you manually select which sites when you publish your post. Since I am autoblogging, that is impossible.
The plugin did something like this.
The thing about it, is it grabbed like 30 links lol. I know I can go through and edit it to make it only do 5 or 10.
So looking at this. One or a combination of both of those plugins makes the difference between 50 unique visitors/day and 500uniques/day.
So with just a plugin or two, after a few months it will increase traffic by 10 fold all on its own. Can't beat that
So does anyone have any idea what wordpress plugin I am talking about? It grabbed a shit ton of related blog posts off the internet based off my post. This gave me a bunch of backlinks per post.
