Worth getting into SEO/AI visibility now, or better opportunities elsewhere?

I'm looking into building a local SEO/AI Visibility service for commercial blue collar contractors. I've got the setup running but no clients yet. Given how crowded this space has gotten, would you get into it now if you were starting out, or point someone toward something else? Just hoping to start generating decent revenue in 3-6 months.

local blue collar space is surprisingly slow at adopting new tech...
offer them a simple system that brings immediate phone calls or form submissions and you will stand out from generic agencies

still, I would do it especially with contractor . Little companies do not give a flying fuck about SEO buzzword , they give a flying fuck about phone calls nd leads. Prove that, and market saturation becomes less of a problem imo.

Yes, local blue-collar is still a good lane the SEO is dead/crowded narrative is mostly about competitive, content-heavy niches (SaaS, finance, etc.), not local service businesses. Contractors care about phone calls and booked jobs, not rankings as a concept, so if you can show up in Maps

I Overviews for service near me queries you're solving a problem they actually feel. 3-6 months to first revenue is doable if you land even 2-3 clients doing GBP optimization + review generation + basic local content

I think right now might be the hottest time to get into it because people are selling "AEO" and "GEO" services claiming they have some fancy offer and making a killing but in reality they're just doing the same SEO work all of us are doing. Maybe they make an extra post on wikipedia, Quora, or Reddit, but in the end it all comes back to quality SEO but all the buzz right now around AI is making it super huge to get into

I’d still consider it but I’d focus on one trade first. Getting a few solid case studies in a specific local market could make the service easier to sell than trying to compete broadly.
