I would be really interested in thoughts about the best and cheapest place to live. I know that is probably a fine line to walk, but I of course would like to live very comfortably for the least amount of money.

Is it possible to go live on a beach in a place where the government is stable and I can be comfortable on 20-25 dollars a day?

Am I dreaming?

mostly asian countries your money gonna be doubled..

if i have a chance i'll live in asia.. girls are cheap too :smlove2:

Hey bud, I lived in Bangkok, Thailand for almost 3 years. You can manage just fine on 25 bucks a day.

A very nice and modern studio which is fully furnished in the city center is about 300 / month. Bangkok is awesome and then 2 hour drive from there you have tropical islands and tropical beaches. Then there is SO MUCH to do in Bangkok. You will never be bored and drinks and girls are cheap too lol.

India, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Phillipines, Nepal, Bangladesh.

Those are some of the countries in Asia where US$25 a day is more then enough.

Yes! India is one of the option.
If you think there is too much of negativity around [poverty, dirt etc.] think again!
Whole of India is no like that. Half of India is quite good to live in as per western standards.

I myself live in city called Gurgaon which is one of the biggest outsourcing destination for westerns companies!
This is where I live:

Lima, Peru is like Bangkok very cheap to maybe even a little bit cheaper however it isnt as modern as Bangkok. The weather can also be a little bit rough during winter time with a lot of rain.

Bangkok and Thailand in general has a rainy season but really it rains for maybe 1 - 2 hours very much but then you have sunshine which dries up the rain.

Pakistan is Much cheaper better and Friendly
But you will not get Girls
And With all of Drones bombing our Land daily its almost impossible to live in Peace

In my Personal exp China's Xinjiang Province is cheapest Place to Live

I would suggest Cebu, the city I where lived now, International Airport, International Port, White Sand Beaches, Malls, We have lots of 5 star hotels, Clubs, Diving Spots, Nature, Mountain Sceneries is just less than an hour. One of the best city in Asia, It has more than 2 million tourist per year. About peace and order here we have the lowest crime rate here. We the best SWAT/Police in the country and we have also vigilante that kill the criminals. No terrorist, No typhoons, No earth Quake, No tsunami, No Flash Flood, Less Traffic. English is our second language. Your living like a king here with your $25 bucks. Most people here lived with just $1 dollar everyday.

I have read that Costa Rica is a place where the US Dollar will go the farthest, while still having good law enforcement and a stable government.

Eastern Europe: Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania even Hungary. 500 - 1000 euros / month are enoght for a decent living. Or cheaper in Asia.

I visited a friend last year who moved to Phuket Thailand when he was 20, he does web design and video editing and other small things online. He rents this Amazing apartment for $800 a month. We went to Maya Bay and it was friggin amazing, but did get very packed with tourists. My friend earns probably $3k a month, in CA he lived in a shitty area, ate bad food, but with $3k a month in Thailand he lives like a king. His girlfriend teaches English in one of the rooms of their 3 bedroom apartment (which has a really nice pool) mostly because she wants to. He has a really small kitchen, they eat in maybe once a week. Food is everywhere and its really cheap. The people were nice too.

MingS take Romania off that map bro, I moved from Romania to Spain and i can say that 600 euros for a decent living in Spain is ok now but not in Romania

Oh! and Gurgaon has 8 golf courses adding up to 120,000 acres....

How do you stay there man?
You married with visa?

I have been looking to trying to get funding for a TESOL and CELTA course whicn means you can teach English to foreigners here with TESOL and CELTA gets me (hpefully back to Thailand or CEBU as I have peaked interest in this city recently.

However funding for unemployed in UK is none existent apart from adult learning which is not much per week.

And still no crappy jobs where I am.
Im trapped.

Its not a nice feeling wanting to get away and your trapped.
I went to my GP For depression and heseemed to aviod the question saying get a blood test and results normal but no mention of my depression.
