That they were no longer penalizing links in posts!

You no longer need to post the link in the replies

Damn I'm slow!

I have been aware of it for a long time

Don't worry about it. Even Mark doesn't know it.

better late than never lol. Still helps to know though, saves that extra step in replies. Where did you see the announcement anyway?

That's actually good to hear.

What is even surprising to me is Almighty Mark Zuckerberg trying little tricks just to avoid his post being penalized.

I wonder if he has extended that gesture to his platform though

They claim as such. But in reality they deboost any post with am external link from 30% to 94%... even if you put link in the comments, in many cases that comment will disappear..

How do you test this? Access using a different account and you don't see the post?

I get 5 impressions when I upload a video natively to X whereas I get 2 if I share the YouTube link.

What they say Vs what they actually do are probably vastly different.

N=1 of course.

Yes, I checked using different accounts, verified and unverified. and also not a single post, but several posted from different accounts including links, disappear .

Maybe it's not because having a link but where the link points to? What kind of content is it?
