Registering Accounts with Various Registrars

Hello, everyone!

I have a question: I can’t seem to register an account on GoDaddy or Dropcatch.
GoDaddy immediately sends me to verification after purchasing a domain, while Dropcatch simply won’t accept my registration information. I’ve tried probably a dozen different email addresses already, but it just won’t accept them.
With GoDaddy, as I understand it, do I need a card in my name so I can provide documentation to GoDaddy support if they request verification?
What about Dropcatch? Please advise.

I’d also like to know if NameJet has the same requirements as GoDaddy? They require you to provide a card during registration. I only have non-personal cards from various services.

If there are other platforms where I can buy domains at auction or from a backorder, please let me know.

Godaddy will almost always trigger verification on new accounts, especially if the card doesnt match the account name/address. Non personal cards are risky there, they flagged mine too. If you got a real card in your name that matches billing address it goes way smoother.

Dropcatch rejecting your info is usually the email/IP combo, they dont like disposable emails. Try a clean gmail and dont register while on a proxy/vpn that flags... that alone fixed it for me.

Namejet is basically same crowd as godaddy tbh, expect card verification.

For alternatives you could look at Dynadot, Namecheap marketplace or Sav for backorders/auctions. Sav is pretty lax with signup imo.

GoDaddy's verification is pretty common these days, especially for new accounts. Using real information and a payment method that matches your account usually makes the process much smoother.

Do you happen to know of any card issuance services where you can get a card without taking a selfie—just by sending a photo of your ID?
