Scrapebox: Public vs Private Proxy

Normally I post with Private Proxies (YPP) and scrape with public. Today I did some comment posting on BlogEngine. I was posting (slow method w/decaptcher) and everything was failing.

I then noticed I was running it with the public proxies I had scraped earlier that tested good. I had forgotten to switch it over. I switched over to the private proxies and had a 50% success rate, which is a whole lot better than zero.

Just my unscientific observation on success with private vs public proxies.

Even now, 2 hours later, 18 out of the 22 public proxies tested good. Must be more to it.

Did you test those public proxies just before starting the slow commenter? Because in my experience public proxies .. last anywhere from 5 minutes to 4-5 hours.

18 out of 22 of the public proxies were still good after I made this post.

Those two things don't normally go together. I use YourPrivateProxy dot com. Some people don't seem to like them but some people seem to be able to complain about just about everything. I had one support issue and they resolved it quickly. Haven't tried any others.

I use the 10 proxy package. I don't hammer them so maybe thats why I haven't had any problems. I think more people get into trouble with Scrapebox by hammering away for 10-20k links a day and then complain that their new website is sandboxed or deindexed and then their 10 proxies are burned. Use common sense.

Ok thanks. I had seen that site before but was not sure about the service. Is there an expiration on the 10 proxies you got or are they good for awhile?

public proxies are terrible for SB. i use yourprivateproxy and they work really well. pretty inexpensive for the benefit you get.

New IP's every 30 days. You can pick the city you want them from or a random mix. USA proxies.

Two Scrapebox approaches you can take. With the scalpel approach you can get away with the public if you don't want to invest in proxies. That means a few hundred select comments being posted daily. Shotgun, meaning thousands and spamming with poor quality comments, you better invest in proxies because Askimet/Spamhaus will shut you down quickly.
