Thanks for sharing your points here.
Myth: “Older domain = better ranking Truth: older domains may not rank unless the information on them is fresh.
Myth: “More pages mean more traffic Truth: quality over quantity works in every situation.
Myth: “Exact-match domains have an advantag Truth: minimal advantage at best; intent match is key

Myth: SEO is one time project.
Reality : After setting up The SEO and forget it will hurt your site ranking.
Because algorithm changes constantly and continuous monitoring and optimization is the key.

have you guys find any myth in this AI evolution?

Thanks for sharing your points here.
For me AI is the Myth now, people are loosing their creativity and skills, things becoming harder to get real content online, Now people are doing less SEO, becuase its hard to find genuine relevant backlinks these are now mostly paid..

Longer content always ranks better.
Reality: The page that satisfies search intent often wins, even if it's much shorter.

AI myth: AI content ranks automatically
Fact: Search Engine don't care about who written then content, but if the AI produce generic content and published directly it's going to be hurt your ranking, it's always recommended to edit before publishing it directly.

I agree
Myth: High DR websites always pass value.
Fact: A relevant website with real users and traffic is generally going to rank better than a higher DR site, which may sell lots of links and has nothing to do with the keywords for which it's ranking.

Myth: Getting the #1 spot always drives the most traffic.
Fact: When AI Overviews (and other SERP features) take up the top space, the #1 spot may end up with relatively few clicks.

Myth: Google wants you to publish frequently.
Fact: Google rewards you for creating authoritative, relevant, and trustworthy content that’s useful to people, not simply publishing content regularly.
You give the important information here, most of the people still working according to the old myths.

Myth: AI content gets penalized automatically.
Reality: Thin unhelpful content gets penalized. The search engine doesn't care who wrote it

Myth: link velocity matters more than link relevance
Reality: One contextual link from niche relevant site can still outperform than 50+ off topic links.

Myth: fixing core web vitals will move rankings
Reality: It helps, but you have work on content and entity signals as well to improve ranking.

What are all the other myths that still being repeated in 2026?
Other myths: keyword density still drives rankings, social signals directly boost rankings, and longer content always wins. Reality: intent, entity relevance, and topical authority matter more. Tools like Semrush help analyze competitors, backlinks, and intent gaps for smarter SEO decisions in 2026.

One myth I still see is that exact context match keywords need to be repeated everywhere to rank better. Today Google understands context and intent much better than before so forcing the same keyword into every healing and paragraph usually makes the content worse instead of better. Writing naturally and covering the topic completely is far more effective than keyword stuffing

Yep, everyone prefer to get result with AI overviews. but the biggest myth here is SEO doesn't work anymore.

I have seen many people still think Domain Authority is a Google ranking factor. I think it is just not . DA is just a third party metric and Google does not use it directly.

I think one common is that older domains always have an advantage. I seen new sites outrank old ones when they have better content and a stronger SEO setup.

Old domains still has an advantage on it. But if you work on new sites they can outrank old one for sure with better content like you said here.

i kinda get where you’re coming from, but i wouldn’t assume google is intentionally blocking blogger. in my experience, blogger vs wordpress usually comes down to content structure, indexing/tech setup, and backlink quality rather than the host itself.

One common myth is that more backlinks always means higher rankings. Quality and relevance matters more than just the number of links.

Haha, still few guys believes this.
even with ai content you can outrank old domain

haha valid point, the same thing happens in backlinks too. if the ranking drop shortly after building a backlink package, the first reaction client assumes is the backlinks caused it. There could be several reason behind the drop, and it doesnt always mean backlink is the causation.

I really wonder when these seo myths will finally come to an end.
True, People keep on changing the name over times...
haha, i agree
A myth i still hear is that more seo tools automatically lead to better rankings
Quality and relevance always comes before quantity

Agree. Content length alone doesn't mean you'll rank at the top. What matters most is content that fully satisfies the user's search intent. Highly relevant page with updated content for 500 words can easily outperform a much longer article that's filled with outdated or unnecessary information.
