Generally, YouTube pays more through ad revenue.
However, in my opinion, profitability depends on your niche, audience, and monetization strategy.

If you already have a product/service you can sell then it would be beneficial to put Facebook ads ans promote it. If you go the agency way you can usually can have a ROAS of 2 or 3. If you put the ads yourself you're going to waste money by learning what works and what doesn't. If you don't have a product or service to sell then I'd suggest you go with YouTube as it pays you for your views.

Depends on the niche and audience. YouTube usually pays more per view, while Facebook can generate a lot more views if your content goes viral.

I think it mostly depends on the niche and your overall strategy From what Ive seen youtube generally has stronger earning potential from ads while Facebook can still perform well with good engagement and different monetization methods i wouldnot base the decision on payouts alone

youtube without a doubt facebook can pay well but its much less consistent
youtube is almost always going to pay higher in the long run. the rpms on yt are just way better, especially if you are in a high cpm niche like finance or tech.
