I have published 5 ebooks and got 58 orders so far while doing free promotion.can anyone tell me whether I should go for paid promotion or wait.please suggest me some strategies to market ebooks.

58 sales from free promotion is already a good sign because it shows there is interest in your ebooks Before spending money on ads, I would test different landing pages, covers, and descriptions to improve conversions Once you know what converts well paid promotion becomes much less risky.

If you havn't had a paid order then your orders are really 0. Change and price them as long as they are good. Develop an alternative strategy, like a free book with 2 paid ones, or something. Where are you selling these books? What platform?

Promote on socials and reddit and forums.

The habit that's worked best for me is posting consistently while focusing on providing value instead of chasing viral content. I also spend time engaging with comments and building relationships, because loyal followers often convert better than large but inactive audiences.

Experienced ebook publishing veterans advise against jumping into paid ads with only 58 free orders due to insufficient conversion data, so focus on building an email list with lead magnets, optimizing store seo and gathering reader reviews before testing small budget Amazon ads to guarantee profitability.

Do you host these on your own website? Have you installed FB pixel? You could've created lookalike audience on FB ads to get similar buyers, if you're willing to run paid ads. If not done already, do it.

Continue with your free promotions and tap into more social media platforms.

Not bad. 58 sales from free promotion. Dont do paid promotion yet. You must get some data on the demographics of your existing customers first. Once you got those data then you can utilize that data to experiment on paid promotion.

58 sales from free promotion is a positive signal paid promotion could help you reach more readers and grow faster.

Your first readers can become your biggest promoters building reviews and word of mouth may be just as important as running ads.

Force them into signing up for your newsletter in order to get the ebook. After having a good amount of emails publish an ebook which costs and send an email

58 orders from free promotion is a solid start, especially with only 5 ebooks. Before spending money on ads, I'd try to identify which free channels are bringing the most sales and optimize those first. Once you know what converts best, you can test a small paid campaign with a limited budget and measure the ROI. What platform are you selling your ebooks on?

Congrats on your first 58 orders! Personally, I’d wait until I know which ebook is converting the best before spending on paid ads. Free promotion is great for validating demand, collecting reviews, and improving your listing. Once you have a solid conversion rate and some positive reviews, you can test paid ads with a small budget and scale only if the numbers make sense. Also, don’t underestimate organic marketing through social media, email lists, or niche communities—it can bring consistent sales over time.

I have some books on amazon kdp, and the few times i run ads it wasn't worth it, even trying to get as much results as possible with good covers, good books descryptions, etc. But tbh i never tried to run fb ads on then, it might work
