Every generation has things that everyone seems to love, but you just don't get the hype.

Maybe it's:
  • Influencers
  • Luxury brands
  • Expensive weddings
  • Clubbing
  • Reality TV
  • Latest smartphones every year
  • Fancy restaurants
  • Social media trends
I will start:

I think replying "Seen" and disappearing for 3 days should be considered an Olympic sport. But seriously, what's something that most people love, spend money on, or obsess over that you think is completely overrated?

I have a feeling some answers are going to start mini wars in the comments.

What's your most unpopular "overrated" opinion?

Caffeine.

Tis a drug and peeps be addicted and mask their addiction by social proof "well it must be fine cuz everyone else has it".

Lol no.

City life, I guess

It's a bit ironic saying that because I live in the city as well but I don't really like it
I think it's mostly the convenience and access to amenities that makes me just go along with it

Long term though, I don't really see myself settling in a big city

City life is great for convenience, opportunities, and having everything within reach, but the constant noise, traffic, and fast pace can get exhausting over time. Long term, I would probably prefer somewhere quieter with more space and less stress

Well yes i consider this and apple has got some cool upcoming plans based on pricing and more suprises

Weddings, no contest — droppin $30-50k on ONE fkn day so ur aunt can post a story n forget about it by Tuesday is the biggest collective delusion humanity's ever agreed to, that money buys a house down payment not a hangover n a rental chair bill

Lmao, you probably also say "dont buy a nice car, buy a shit car because they both do the same job" sometimes people and couples want to have fun, and live in the moment, people buy an Escalade because it's an Escalade, it takes you from A to B just like a 2006 chevy suburban, but it does it in style. You remember your wedding your entire life, it's worth it spending whatever it costs, not everything is about saving money and being cheap.

And if you are going to use ai to write a post in the lounge, at least tell it to spell properly not "fkn" and "n"
