Hi,

I have purchased some homepage backlinks, so websites that sell sponsored backlinks on their homepage. These usually pass a lot of authority.
The payments are monthly to maintain these backlinks. My question is: when should I expect to see results? Because it's the homepage, so it should be crawled fast, but once it's crawled, should I immediately see my rankings improve?

Thanks in advance for the replies!

It usually takes a few weeks to make any real impact. Even if google finds the backlinks than rankings don't always immediately because it also consider the other factors like competition, content quality and overall backlink profile.

It typically takes 2 to 3 months to see measurable ranking changes from homepage backlinks.

Atleast 3 to 4 months needed to see some results

While the backlinks may be recognized immediately that does not mean there is going to be an insttant effect. It seems like google considers backlinks over time instead of immediately providing u with an increase in rankings right after the crawl. i would sugest not relying on the results from just one keyword bcz the progress needs to be meassured.

Crawled fast, yes. Counted fast, no. The homepage getting recrawled in a day or two just means Google has seen the link. The weight lands later, after it reprocesses the linking page and decides what that link is worth in context. On placements I watch, the gap between "link is live and cached" and "target page starts moving" is rarely under 3 weeks, usually more like 4-8, longer in competitive niches.

What to watch in the meantime is impressions, not positions. The impressions line in GSC wakes up weeks before average position does anything. One US home-services site we run on a steady monthly drip went from ~16 impressions/day -> 200+/day over roughly 12 weeks, and the ranking moves trailed that curve the whole way. If impressions are climbing at week 6, the links are working, even while your rank tracker shows a flat line.

Two honest notes since you're on the rental model (I sell in this category, so weigh my bias): judge the buy at 90 days, not 2 weeks, that's the earliest point the data means anything. And ask your seller now what happens when you stop paying. If the answer is "the link comes off", assume the gains ride the same curve back down. Nothing wrong with renting, half this industry runs on it, but price the exit into the decision, not just the entry.

Ranking time is subjective but it also depends on the quality of the website you got your homepage backlink from. Is that site's niche similar to your niche? Does it have real organic traffic and enough authority to pass value? If the site has no real authority and is just a link farm, how can it pass authority to your website? Instead, it can have a negative impact. Whenever I get homepage backlinks, I always choose relevant websites and usually avoid getting more than 3 or 4. From my experience, these backlinks often help my rankings improve within a few weeks.

I think homepage backlinks take some time before you see any real results. Getting crawled quickly doesn't always mean your rankings will change right away. The quality and relevance of the website linking to you usually matter more than how fast Google finds the page.

you won’t see instant ranking jumps
those homepage links still need time for google to recrawl

It usually takes anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks to see a noticeable shift in rankings after indexing. Even though homepages get crawled quickly, Google takes time to process the authority and adjust the algorithm. Just be careful with monthly rental links, as dropping them later can cause rankings to slip.

Do not expect instant results even after google crawls the link. Give it 3-6 weeks and remember the impact depends on your site’s overall SEO, not just the homepage backlinks.

It will take few months to get the effect about 3 it usually the timeframe it need to e but can be longer sometimes

I'd give it a little time Even after Google crawls the links it can still take a while before you notice any changes

My experience, I would not expect rankings to change as soon as the homepage is crawled. It usually takes a few weeks before I see any real impact, and sometimes even longer depending on the competition.

Crawling happens fast, but ranking updates take time. don't expect to see any real movement for at least a month after the links are first indexed.

Don't judge the campaign too early. Give it at least a month, monitor Search Console, and focus on overall keyword visibility rather than one or two keywords.

Usually you can see results in a few weeks's time.

Have you checked whether Google has actually recrawled the page yet? Fast crawling is only the first thing. The real question is how much weight Google decides to pass from those sponsored homepage links. I'd monitor rankings for at least a few weeks before deciding whether the monthly cost is worth it.

If the links are indexed and from relevant, trusted sites, I'd usually wait 4-8 weeks before expecting noticeable movements. Homepage links can be crawled quickly, but ranking changes rarely happen overnight.
