I have been testing Bing Ads recently and wanted to know how others are getting good results from it. What strategies are working for you guys right now? Any tips on campaign setup, targeting, keywords, or optimization that helped improve performance?
Would appreciate some real experience and advice from people who are already running successful Bing Ads campaigns.

I think Bing is good for testing because CPC can be lower than Google. My suggestion is to start with a small budget, test different ads, and increase spending only on campaigns that are bringing conversions.

Focus on testing different keywords, keep negative keywords updated and optimize based on conversion data, that's what helped me improve results.

Honestly the biggest unlock for me is just importin ur winning Google Ads campaigns directly (Bing lets u do this natively) then tweakin bids down since CPCs are stupid cheap comparatively, but don't sleep on the demographic skew — Bing users trend older n higher-income (desktop-heavy, work computers), so ur messaging n landing pages might need adjustin if ur offer's built for a younger/mobile-first Google audience

IMO bing ads is a very cost effective solution as compared to GAds, since quality is better than Google always.

One thing that helped me was keeping campaigns very simple at start. I also keep checking search terms and add negative keywords often. Small changes over time gave me better results than changing everything at once.

one thing nobody mentioned yet, watch the time of day. bing skews heavy toward business hours since so much traffic is work desktops. i had campaigns bleeding money at night and weekends for basically nothing, once i ad scheduled around 8-6 weekdays my cost per conv dropped a lot.

also the import from google is nice but dont just set n forget it. bing match types behave a bit different so you can get junk traffic slipping through if you copy negatives over blind. check search terms weekly like a couple people said.

audience is way smaller than google btw so dont expect the same volume, its more of a supplement imo not a main channel.

If your target age is not 40+, you need to reconsider Bing Ads!

@CloudMerchant is right about the match types, they are way broader than Google. But the biggest thing nobody mentioned yet is the partner network. When you import your campaigns, Bing automatically opts you into their syndication partners. Honestly, like 80% of that traffic is straight junk and click fraud. Go to your ad group settings and change the distribution to "Bing, Yahoo, and MSN search only" otherwise you will burn through your budget in a day. If you do run partner network, you have to run publisher reports daily and exclude the spammy domains... otherwise its just a money pit.

Start with exact and phrase match keywords, keep the campaign simple and optimize only after you have enough data.

Hey there.

Bing Ads can work well - but you have treat it differently from Google.

A few things that usually help:
- Import your best Google campaigns first, then clean them up for Bing
- Focus more on exact and phrase match (Bing can be more lenient with broad)
- Check search terms often and add negatives — junk traffic still shows up
- Bid a bit lower at the start and raise only on what converts
- Use audience targeting and location carefully, especially for local offers

Bing volume is lower than Google, but competition is also lower, so CPC is often cheaper. The main thing is staying on top of the search terms and not copying Google setups 100%.

What kind of offers or niches are you running on Bing right now?

Try keeping your keywords more focused and add negative keywords often. That alone can cut a lot of useless clicks.

To get better results follow these tips:

  • use your best performing keywords
  • add negative keywords to avoid waste clicks
  • keep locations and audience targeting focused
  • Test different ad copies and keep the best ones
  • Track conversions and adjust bids based on results
  • Start with a small budget and scale slowly
