I just want to share an experience and maybe someone may benefit from it. I got my first user (not a paid user), and the next thing he tried to do was to hack into the admin area.
In my app, I would be automatically notified when a user performed suspicious activities. The fellow was trying to gain access to the restricted area by entering different urls into the browser, and he even used "Admin" as his username. After repeated attempts, I received a notification and I went investigating the user activities and was left with no option than to ban him.
It is disappointing to get a user who didn’t take into consideration the amount of work and sacrifices involve in building a SaaS. I encourage you to take the security of your app seriously to prevent a hacker destroying your hard work.
