Why having a Reddit account with an API is now worth more than Gold

It's official.

The value of reddit accounts and reddit services are going up.

I already made the post about the ID verification that's sweeping countries now (read here) -- this will especially be enforced on newer accounts per speculatory reports.

SMM Panels got wiped out................... weeks ago. I made a post about this (read here)

Now here's one thing I missed because I'm not an App-Builder. Were you all aware that Reddit API are no longer being offered to 99% of uesrs and they cancelled the API accounts of the majority as well, all the while closing the "Json" loophole mnay were using to fuel their digital products related to reddit services.

This is what fueled so many applications/scrapers/panels died.

So now, Reddit API accounts are worth GOLD. These APIs are necessary to create/maintain a bot business related to reddit, where people are trying to make $XX,XXX to $XXX,XXX per month. So if you have one now, you can sell it for 3 months of income and people have to swallow their pride and take a major risk if they want to even 'think' about getting back into reddit panels or business.

Solutions are needed and it wont be cheap.

These new changes mean only 'big spenders' who acutallly kno whow to make money with reddit will likely thrive because the premiums on services will solutions will be high.

I already see what the solution is myself. Stay tuned people.

The Good news.. Reddit Money, the profits from reddit, will now be higher because a lot of people with lower tier skill sets / motiviation / efforts will be eliminated .... this means earnings will be concentrated to those left.

So it sucks and it's great at the same time.

Dude could you elaborate on this a bit at least since now it seems the secret is out so almost no one or very few can actually do something about it if you share, it'll make some discoveries more interesting and maybe pivot to other platforms and test it out, you never know

Social media influencers have used reddit to change their life overnight with one front page video feature.

They made millions via organic subs and comments or bots via APIs hence the setback. Compared to ads which is still ongoing, that's the clarification I was asking of.

You can give specifics, like you made $44,000 last month running this and that? Why share now? Cos like I said earlier almost no one can take advantage of it except the few that can afford the $12,000/year API access.

A lot of people found a workaround for the recent Deprecating unauthenticated JSON access by using the old reddit.

10 days ago, reddit published a post saying that they'll require everyone to log in to use Old Reddit, meaning the .json won't work anymore

so reddit accounts that have the api keys will be more valuable than ever. But if you use the api keys to scrape reddit data, that will definitely lead to revoking the api key
