I'm working on my first spun article, and there is a section for the authors box. Do I need to spin this too, or can I use only one for all my articles? Also, what do I put in this?

Also, how "well spun" does my article have to be to avoid detection? What I usually do is spin most sentences two different ways and than spin the words in the sentence itself. Is this good enough?

For example:

You need to {know|understand|recognize|realize|comprehend|have an idea of} the {basic|standard|fundamental} moves of {each|every|each and every|every single} chess piece in order {to|to be able to|in order to|for you to} play chess.

It really depends on how many versions of the article you plan on pumping out. The more you want to spam, the more variable you would want it. Spin everything you can, including link anchor text.

If you spin sentance followed by individual words you should be fine, I aim to get my 500 word article to 30% uniqueness.

Spinning the author box is advisable, however, its not really that important as it is now rarely requested for. Just spin in same syntax and should be fine

Where can I check for free what percent unique my spun articles are?

You can check up to 4 of them at Dupecop for free

I can't post the URL but just Google "dupecop" and you'll find it

What software r u using for spinning?

Wouldn't u rather pay somebody a dollar or so to spin articles for you? This seems like a lotta work.

How many directories should I submit to? I'm using jetsubmitter and they have 500+ directories. Should I submit each article to all of them, slowly 10-15 sites/day? My article is 35% uniqueness, if that matters.

Edit: this is for a niche micro site, 5 pages.

when spinning make sure that the word count changes quite considerably between versions - thats a biggie most people don't do

Thanks, but how many directories should I submit each article to? And how many articles should I spin for a 5 page micro-niche site? Is doing just this enough to get me top page #1? Also, how long does it take 'till those my submitted articles are indexed, and how long 'till this effects my SERP's?

If someone could answer all these questions for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Moshe

Your directory submission rate is okay.
How many articles-- Depends on your competition. Primary result of an article submission is backlinks. Check the sites you are competing against for the keywords. Check their backlinks. No. of backlinks, PR of pages links coming from, anchor-text relevancy etc.

How long does it take? Again no fixed answer. Just wait and see. EZA sometimes get indexed on the same day. You just have to wait and watch. IM is all about testing and watching and noting down your observations for future. Its a learning curve and I am afraid you have to do it yourself.:D

Thanks for all the tips. The one thing I didn't understand was when you said "Your directory submission rate is okay.". How much is that?

Also, I am researching a certain niche I want to make a site in, and most of the results are blog posts and forum posts, most with low to non-existant backlinks and not amazing keyword optimization. However, the forums themselves have tons of backlinks. Is this a problem? WIll this niche be very difficult or very easy?

I was referring to this- 10-15/day is okay.

My experience says that if you only see forums/blog posts ( not blog pages) than you have a very weak competition. If the search volume is good, go for this niche.
Some other pointers to asses comp are written below. If you search in Google with your main keywords just observe the top 10 results. Following criteria shows that the NICHE will be HARD to rank in-

  • More than 3 results in top 10 with pages higher than PR3
  • More than 3 results in top 10 with 'old' domains i.e. older than 5 years.
  • More than 3 results in top 10 with main keywords in Title and/or domain
  • More than 3 domains in top 10 with backlinks more than 30. Checked with Yahoo Site Explorer.

If you see Amazon, Ebay, other shopping sites, article sites, un-optimised blog-posts results in top 10 than the niche is EASY to rank in.

Hope this helps to asses your niche properly.

If I have two keywords that are in the format "act now" and "actnow", which one should I optimize my site for so that it will rank well for both?
