WordPress is still one of the best blogging platforms thanks to its flexibility.

I would say that WordPress is one of the best choices for blogging but that does not mean WordPress is perfect for everyone. Some beginners may find many other platforms like Medium or Substack easier because they need less setup.

If someone wants full ownership and plans to grow seriously, many people still prefer WordPress over simpler platforms because plugins and customization are much better.

Wordpress a crap of shit; plugins not work with theme, pattern (plugins like kadence and more) tab not appears in top bar in edit page editor , pattern block plugins - in every category maybe 5 free patterns that's all, the rest is premium... template layout not applies on your specific pages, etc,etc.......an endless list of headaches, twists and tweaks to make it work, maybe. Oh yeah, what an first- class cms it is.......

I started out with Weebly back in the day since it got me off the starting blocks fast, but once I wanted more control over my site’s look and SEO stuff, WordPress made way more sense. If you want to just write and not mess with plugins and settings, Ghost feels a lot less fiddly and still lets your content shine.
