Where are you potentially looking for local SEO clients if you aren't running an agency?

Look for local SEO clients here:
Google Maps / local search → businesses ranking low or with weak profiles
Google results → pages 2–5 = easy targets
Facebook groups → small business owner groups, complaints = leads
Upwork / Fiverr → “Google Maps SEO”, “local SEO audit” gigs
Instagram/TikTok → active businesses with low visibility
Direct outreach → email/WhatsApp with a quick SEO audit
Directories (Yelp, etc.) → inconsistent or incomplete listings
Best results usually come from Google Maps + direct outreach.

Local Facebook group LinkedIn and referral have worked best for me. Small business owner are usually more responsive.

If I was not running an agency I would probably target agencies first Many of them outsource local SEO and GMB work and one good agency relationship can bring more work than chasing individual local businesses

Use a niche base method

Look through Google those advertising local products and pitch to them

Or look through businesses advertising on directories and sell them the idea
That's works far better

Google Maps is still my first choice. I look for businesses with weak websites, poor rankings, or unoptimized GBP, then reach out with a personalized pitch. LinkedIn and referrals are solid too.
