I've noticed that finding relevant and trustworthy websites has become more difficult over time.
What's the biggest challenge you're currently facing with white hat link building?

Hardest part lately is not finding sites, it's finding sites that are actually alive and not just dressed up for selling links. Metrics look ok, traffic graph looks ok, then you check pages and it's 80% random guest posts about crypto, pets, loans, cbd... all on same blog lol.

For white hat stuff, response rate is the killer imo. Even when the content is decent, most site owners either ignore or ask for money straight away. I've had better luck going narrower, like small industry blogs/newsletters and resource pages where the topic fit is obvious, instead of chasing DR all day. Slower, but less junk to filter.

Although they boast high Domain Ratings (DR), they generate almost no genuine traffic. Google is increasingly adept at identifying such sites, causing the value of their links to steadily decline.

One of my biggest challenges is finding websites that are both relevant and trustworthy. Many sites with good metrics openly sell links, which reduces their value. It is also becoming harder to find websites with real traffic and active audiences.I prefer earning links through genuine outreach and quality content whenever possible. Building truly white hat backlinks takes more time, but the long term results are worth it.

The biggest challenge with white hat link building I am facing is scalability and the heavy reliance on manual effort.

For me the biggest challenge is finding websites that are actually relevant and active. There are plenty of sites but many either have low quality content or ask for high prices. I have started focusing more on building genuine relationships and looking for niche relevant opportunities instead of chasing lots of links. It is slower but the results seem much better.

Outreach has definitely become more competitive. I spend more time researching websites and making sure they're a good fit instead of relying only on SEO metrics.

Biggest challenge for me isnt finding sites, its that even when you find a genuinely good site the response rate is terrible because everyone doing outreach now sound exactly the same. Generic "I love your content" emails get ignored instantly.
What actually improved my response rate was referencing something specific they published recently and connecting it directly to why my content would add value for their readers. Takes more time per prospect but getting 1 reply out of 10 is better than sending 100 generic emails and hearing nothing. Quality of outreach matter more than volume now specially for true white hat placements.

Finding niche-relevant websites, creating valuable content, and maintaining a decent outreach response rate requires a lot of time and effort.
