Hi,
I have been managing a facebook page and one thing I have noticed is that getting followers is not always the hardest part. The bigger challenge is getting people to actually join the conversation. A post can get plenty of likes but a very few people leave comment to share their own thoughts.
It feels like people are more willing to scroll rather than interact even when the content is relevant.
Have you found any simple changes that encourages people for genuine conversation of facebook without asking to like, comment and share ?

You can build a real community on facebook by posting the content that asks people for their opinions or experiences instead of just sharing information. Simple questions usually helps to get more real conversations.

It is true that customers might simply look and leave, but they will still remember you and get in touch when the need arises; therefore, there is no need to aim for immediate conversions—focus on increasing views first, then evaluate the results on a weekly or monthly basis.

One thing that has worked for me is ending the post with a simple question that people can answer from their Own experience instead of asking them to like or comment.

Some people may only browse without taking action right away, but that doesn't mean your efforts are wasted. Building visibility can help keep your brand in mind, and they may reach out when the timing is right. Rather than expecting instant conversions, focus on growing your reach first and review your performance over a weekly or monthly timeframe.

yeah, the trick is making the reply feel easy. instead of broad questions, ask something specific from their experience, like “what would you do first?” or give two options and let people pick.

I think it depends if the page has a niche. I still see pages/profiles being suggested just because I liked a certain topic once.

I like that idea. Have you ever notice that opinion based questions getting more comments than educational posts ?

yep, people seem way more comfortable hitting like than actually typing out a comment these days.
But if someone wants engagement that what do you think which type of posts encourage people to leave comments instadd of liking only.

The current trend is that people prefer browsing interesting videos to joining groups.
The groups that still exist today are usually those that were created many years ago and have been maintained until now. Newly created groups often struggle to survive.

it seems that everyone is lazy to interact with posts now. you can try to end the post with an open question to encourage people to respond.

I have noticed that posts with a personal opinion or a simple question tend to get more comments than posts that only share information. People seem more willing to join a discussion when they feel their own experience is being asked for rather than just reacting to a post.

People usually comment more when the content is enjoyable, and they share their own experiences.

I think people engage more when it feels like a discussion, not a post. Writing in a conversational tone and sharing a personal opinion first often encourages replies.

It's possible that your post doesn't have anything for viewers to ask about, hence the lack of comments. Also, many people don't want to ask questions in the comments section because there are too many readers, and they prefer to message you directly.

You're not the only one. I've noticed that people are far more likely to scroll than comment now

The posts that get the best discussions for me are the ones that ask for genuine opinions or share a personal experience instead of trying to force engagement

Quality conversations seem much harder to build than they used to be
