Google dropped a spam update yesterday. Anyone seeing movement?

June 24. Google pushed a new spam update. It's live right now and still rolling out.
This is the second spam update of 2026. The first one in March finished in under 24 hours, fastest ever. This one could take a few days.
Here's what Google actually said. "Normal spam update. All languages. All locations."
That's it. No details. No new policies named. No mention of links, AI content, or any specific tactic.

But here's what is interesting.
Around June 19, people in black hat forums started reporting quiet ranking drops. The volatility tools barely picked it up. Mainstream sites didn't feel it. Only the risky stuff got hit.
Some people think today's update is Google just making that official.

So my question is simple.
Are you seeing drops right now, or did you already feel something move last week before this was announced?

Why are you reporting something about BHW in third-person when you're already posting it on BHW. This sounds like copied or AI stuff.

good observation. Something I saw happening here around June 19, posted about it on LinkedIn too so thought I would bring it back for discussion. that's it.

same here. risky projects got nudged first while cleaner sites stayed steady. no point panic fixing mid rollout. let the dust settle then compare winners and losers before touching links or content.

A few keywords moved around for me last week but it was hard to say if it was related to the spam update or normal SERP volatility. I have learned not to react too quickly during rollouts and usually wait a few days to see where things settle.

Exactly this. reacting mid rollout is how we make things worse. the pattern is always the same, risky stuff moves first, clean sites stay put.
we should give it a few days then the real picture shows up.
