My Quora Account Has Authority But My Answers Do not Rank Anymore

Built up an established Quora profile but recently noticed new answers are taking longer to gain visibility compared to before.

The topics are relevant and the writing quality is similar so trying to understand what signals matter most now.

Are experienced Quora users seeing the same thing? What changes have you made to maintain reach?

this is happening more opften now. Quora seems to prioritize early engagement and fresh questions over account authority. Even strong profiles need to focus on timing, relevance and consistency to maintain visibility.

early upvotes in the first few hours drive visibility so sharing new answers through other channels right after posting helps kickstart that.

I have noticed that answering active questions seems to help more than relying on account history alone. Even with an older profile then answers on question that are still getting views and new followers tend to perform much better than answers on older and inactive topics.

@Baby Boss I have also noticed something similar recently. Having an established quora profile still helps, but it does not seem to be enough anymore. I think quora is putting more weight on question selection, how useful the answer is and early engagement than just account authority. According to my personal experience, you should focus on newer or less competitive questions and write more direct, experience based answers instead of long generic ones.

Totally agree. AI content has flooded Quora so much that real, helpful, normal posts are getting lost and they don't get enough views.

Yes, I also observed that hardly any new answers gain visibility. Other than this mostly answers get collapsed. Quora seems to weigh recent engagement much more heavily than it used to. If an answer doesn't receive meaningful upvotes, comments, or reads shortly after it's published, it can quickly get collapsed or deleted even on an authoritative account.

I think authority alone is not enough. Choosing the right question and posting consistently is also important.
