I need to change the url of a gmb i lost access to.
Whats an effective way to do it?

true, but in these case there is no owner (it was me), why sould it get reverted?Suggest an edit rarely sticks for url changes on a listing you dont control, specially if the old url is still live. @RyanCrawls is right that recovery is the cleaner play here. Go through the "request access" flow in business profile, it'll ping whoever has ownership now and if they dont respond in a week you can escalate to reclaim. Honestly thats the only edit thats gonna hold long term... edits get reverted all the time when you're not the verified owner.
What type of gmail account would have the higher chance of sticking?Try the "Suggest an edit" route first. Website URL edits often get approved if the site clearly matches the business name, NAP, and branding. If that fails, you'll likely need to recover ownership.

Damn there has to be a certified way of doing this...Aged Google accounts with a history of Maps edits/reviews tend to stick better from what i have seen. But matching NAP and branding on the target URL usually matters more than the Gmail itself.
