I haven’t been active on BHW for very long, but I’ve noticed something pretty interesting

Every time a Hire a Freelancer post pops up for SEO or backlinks, it gets like 20+ comments within seconds

Are people just sitting there refreshing the page like it’s a live match or is there some secret notification system I don’t know about?

Use the "Watch" category function to get a notice either on your email or in the forum everytime someone post a HAF thread is what they are doing I guess.

There are some ways to get notified everytime a new thread shows up.

The watch feature. You can hit the Watch button and you will get an alert.

Seriously, I marked the Watch features for some particular threads to monitor the continuous message, But this is the first time I use the Watch feature on "Hire a Freelancer" whole section,

I thought there was a secret SEO ninja squad camping in the HAF section 24/7.

Haha I have wondered the same thing Some people definitely use notifications or alerts for freelancer sections especially service providers looking for new clients When a fresh job post appears everyone wants to be among the first replies because those usually get the most attention

Bots and jr. vip farms spamming auto messages, it was already proved that you can create a post asking for ''Yugoslavian backlinks for a unicorn marketplace'' and those bots will offer exactly it, several members already reported it

if mods took action, there would be like 50 VIP members being banned and compromise the entire marketplace ecosystem of this forum

so, get used to it

However its not necessarily something spammy. When people enable notifications for the HAF and WTB sections they get notified as soon as a new post is published. Thats why its common to see a large number of replies appearing within seconds or the first minute.

That actually makes sense. I wasn't implying anything spammy I was just surprised by how fast the replies come in.
