Linkedin reach dropped....but my content quality improved

Hey all,
Something i have noticed that some of my best linkedin posts are getting less reach than simpler posts i shared months ago.
the content is more detailed, provides more value and gets positive feedback from people who see it but overall visibility seems lower.
has anyone else experienced this ?
do you think linkedin is rewarding different engagement signals now or is organic reach becoming harder to get across the platform?

I’ve seen the same thing too Some of the most valuable posts don’t get the widest reach, while easier to digest content gets promoted more because it’s easier for people to engage with quickly.

On LinkedIn, content alone isn't enough. You also need to actively build your network and engage with others so your posts receive more visibility and attract greater interest.

I think this happens to many people. Sometimes older simple posts perform better because they match what audience was engaging with at that time.

I've noticed the same lately. Some of my shorter posts get much better reach while detailed posts attract higher quality engagement but less overall visibility. It feels like LinkedIn is putting more weight on early engagement and post format than content depth.

that could be subjective. Your content could seem better quality in your eyes, but maybe it is just longer, and harder to engage with. Look at past posts that got better engagement, and try testing posts with the same formula. What you consider quality could be different to what your audience consider engagement worthy

Sometimes the most detailed posts do not perform best because linkedin seems to favor content that gets quick engagement in the first hour or two. A simpler post that was easier to read and comment on can often outperform a longer but more valuable one.

yeah, seen this too. linkedin usually doesn’t care about “better” in the way we mean it, it cares what gets a quick reaction from your first batch of viewers. if the hook is weak, the post can be solid and still just sit there... meanwhile some dumb simple post gets saves, comments, whatever, and keeps moving.

i’d test shorter versions of the same idea and post when your core audience is actually online. sometimes the issue isn’t reach being dead, it’s just the first hour doing nothing so the thing never gets picked up.

They absolutely have been tweaking some settings the last couple months. There was a week in May where spam posts were everywhere, then the next week the mostly disappeared, then after that it's been a mix. Also LinkedIn has been targeting individual users to try to get people becoming influencers on the platform who weren't before. I think that push is behind a lot of the changes, they are managing a rise in posts and a rise in people making the posts, and need to spread out the results so not everyone gets discouraged.

I believe that the problem may not be the quality of the content itsself, but rather its consumption. A post that is well written and has a good hook and message will work much better than posting just more content.
In some cases, making things easier to digest will ensure that great ideas are spread to more people.
