I noticed that programs like sick submitter and senuke can sometimes happen to come up on websites that have viruses on them so I was wondering if Xrumer needs an anti virus running the background in case. Does the same thing apply to xrumer as it does other programs?

It's probably always a good idea to have a anti-virus running no matter if your on a server or your home PC.

I mean... it can't hurt can it?

Br aware that it will pick up Xrumer as a virus because of how it handles captchas

Thanks for the feedback guys... for some reason i can't install any anti virus on my computer because it's not up to date even though it is... its a windows 2003 server dont know whats going on :/

Why can't you? Does it block the program when you try to install it? That might mean you already have a virus. I have had that happen a lot on the computers I have helped people fix.

Afaik, XRumer uses a headless browser which by construction gives security.

I don't know if they parse java script but assume they do not. Still, a anti-virus program and a firewall is always strictly recommended, especially if you are not from your home dsl connection which is fire walled, but from a dedicated server.

ok so I figured out that those anti viruses dont support windows 2003...

do you guys know any anti virus that supports windows 2003?

Download trial version of malwarebytes and run a quick scan.

It will remove all the virus you have :)

my xrumer box ran kaspersky and I had to disable it to run xrumer. norton is a resource hog so I wouldnt even run xrumer alongside norton waste of time.
