Native advertising is actually a highly flexible traffic channel. Whether you should use cloaking generally comes down to three scenarios:
1. White Hat (WH):
Completely unnecessary.
2. Black Hat / Grey Hat (Nutra, Crypto, iGaming, etc.): Cloaking becomes a must-have tool.

However, using a cloaker on native ad networks carries significant risks today:
1. Platform detection is getting smarter:
Platforms like Taboola and MediaGo use highly advanced IP databases and user-behavior analysis. Standard, run-of-the-mill cloakers just won't cut it anymore and fail review instantly.
2. They review the account, not just the ad: Compliance checks go beyond your live landing page. Compliance teams track your account's historical spend and business entity credentials. If they flag a cloaking risk, your entire account gets suspended.
3. High cost and technical barriers: Reliable cloaking tools are expensive and require a flawless white-hat safe page to actually work. For new clients looking to test native traffic, the barrier to entry is often too high.

My Recommendations:
1. Use Story-Driven Advertorials: Skip the cloaker entirely. The risk of getting blacklisted and losing the ability to open new accounts is too high. Instead, build a clean landing page that looks like a legitimate news or lifestyle article. Use a narrative to introduce the product, drop any aggressive "before-and-after" images, and rely on psychological copywriting instead.
2. Filter Out Trigger Words: Soften the language on your landing pages and creatives. Swap out sensitive, high-risk terms for compliant alternatives.
3. Nail the Legal Disclaimers: Native platforms are extremely strict about legal compliance disclosures. If your footer includes clear, comprehensive terms and disclaimers, the platform's review team is often much more forgiving, even if your main copy is slightly aggressive.

The Bottom Line: When running Taboola and MediaGo, cloaking is just a temporary workaround to bypass rules. At the end of the day, your actual ROI depends on the conversion power of your product, creatives, and landing page copy.

The above are just my personal suggestions for your reference only. There are bound to be some unprofessional or incorrect points, so please feel free to point them out.

@Good_Agency_Ads you’re mostly right, but I’d add that advertorials only work without cloak if the offer owner isn’t forcing crazy claims on the page. Seen guys try to run “clean” native with the same miracle angle just replacing 2-3 words, and Taboola still nukes it after manual check. Disclaimers help, sure, but they don’t save a page that screams fake news or fake doctor. For newer accounts I’d rather build 2-3 toned down angles and let the funnel do the heavier lifting later, than burn the account trying to be clever with some cheap cloaker. Also yeah, formatting on the post went a bit wild lol.

Thanks for your suggestion. The post format is indeed a bit messy, haha.

It's probably because I had too many ideas, but they weren't in order. I'll pay attention next time.
