How Do I Get GMB Reviews?

I created a Google My Business page for the services I render two months ago but I don't have reviews yet so as to improve my ranking.

Is there a black hat method of getting genuine reviews to my GMB page?

Sometimes the lack of reviews is simply because customers don't understand their impact. I personally send a personalized follow-up after a few months asking how things are going, and if their response is positive I'll invite them to leave a review.

No incentives, no mass copy-pasted emails, no fake reviews, just an informal funnel and a gentle reminder is all you'll need more often than not.

GMB fake Reviews is not recommended because it's harmful for your Map. Will recommend to local citation for your profile.

Most of the customers simply ignore it, but they don't need an invitation to write negative reviews. They will do that first!

The “blackhat but genuine” part is kinda contradiction. You’ll see people selling local guide reviews, but on a fresh GMB with no review history, 10 reviews landing from random accounts looks stupid and often gets filtered anyway.

What works better is making the ask part of the job close. Send the review link by WhatsApp/SMS same day, not email 2 weeks later. If you did a good job, say straight that it helps your local ranking and you’d appreciate 2 lines about the service. Also don’t blast all at once... 2-3 steady reviews over a month looks way more natural than 20 overnight.

I think i saw this post somewhere else, too. The only black hat method is buying reviews. Go search on Google or find someone from FB or Reddit to get you the reviews for your business, but be careful, they might hurt your business as well, if you don't do them properly.

Best “grey” thing you can do here is not buy reviews, but tighten the timing. Ask while the customer is still happy, not 2 weeks later when they forgot you exist. I’ve seen guys get way better hit rate by saying in person “can you drop 2 lines on Google? it helps me locally” then sending the link on WhatsApp right there.

Buying 10 local guide reviews on a 2 month old profile looks messy imo. Some may stick, but the pattern is ugly and if they drop later your profile looks even more dead. Better get 1-2 real ones per week, even short reviews, and reply to all of them properly.

Do not do it, i am a local business owner who thought the same thing as you, i pulled the trigger and it was sketchy at best. The reviews will never stick and you will just be out of your money and your gmb profile

You should ask satisfied clients to give you their critic/feedback. Blackhat methods can get your account banned fast.
