some creators do not follow trends at all and still grow, because they consistently post content around rising topics before they peak.

In my experience consistency still matters but it is not enough on its own The biggest growth comes when consistent posting meets a topic people already care about A single post on the right topic can outperform weeks of regular posting.

consistency gets you reps, but reps without distribution is just shouting into the void. what worked for me wasnt picking trends OR posting daily, it was watching which of my own posts got weird early traction and then making 3 more angles on that same thing fast. like the algo tells you what people want if you actually read the first hour numbers.

timing matters but its not "be early to a trend" timing imo... its more "be fast to react when something of yours starts moving". those are different skills.

also depends heavy on platform. shortform you can ride trends, longform/seo its almost pure consistency + topic demand. so both camps in here are kinda right depending what theyre running.

Consistency is more like buying lottery tickets, timing/topic is what makes one of them actually hit.

I’ve seen accounts post daily for 6 months and stay flat because every post was “safe” content nobody cared about. Then one slightly messy post around a hot pain point does 50x and suddenly they think algo changed lol. Usually it didn’t, they just finally touched demand.

For me the best combo is consistent testing, not consistent posting for the sake of it. Put out enough volume to see signals, then double down fast when something gets comments/saves/shares early. Daily posting without that feedback loop is just busy work imo.

you have to post consistently, and also have a pulse on the latest trends, also make it a point to post in the replies section of major accounts to boost reach

Consistency is a must but post quality is KING. You have to post high quality content in order to go viral.

i nstead of focusing on trending topics, why not try posting about your feelings and thoughts on topics you enjoy? ... That way, you'll have more content
