My 11yr Aged Domain Grey Hat SEO Strategy For Software Store

I just got this 11 year old aged domain northsclearance.com and finally finished the website build. It is a software clearance store selling shared accounts for AI tools and streaming subs. I have not started any marketing or indexing yet so it is a fresh start. I am planning to go the grey hat seo route to grow this thing but I am a bit stuck on the best way to kick it off without getting flagged. Do you guys think I should start with some heavy internal linking or just focus on getting some initial traffic through forums first. I really want to hear from anyone who has scaled a similar store before. Any tips on how to handle the seo for this niche would be massive.

If you don't get to number 1 with your domain keyword, then your niche is to broad. In your case, you will never rank for these 2 keywords, there is just far too much competition.

You should pick a better domain target that you can easy rank your site number 1 to start with its brand keyword. That shows you have insight and knowledge of the marketplace and serps.

What is your business? Are you just a marketer with an idea for a site, or you already have a business, where you export/sell products with "Norths clearance" keyword?

I hear you on the brand keywords but I am not really trying to rank for Norths or Clearance as broad terms. The value for me was the 11 year old domain and the existing authority it has to help me skip the sandbox for the long tail keywords I am actually targeting. I am going after specific buyer intent terms like buy cheap chatgpt or shared canva accounts where the competition is more manageable with a high authority domain. As for the business I have actually run this model before under a different brand so I already have the suppliers and the fulfillment process locked in. I am an operator first and I am just using this domain to scale what I know works using pSEO this time. I appreciate the insight though and I am definitely keeping an eye on how the brand keyword performs as I start indexing.

I have spent a lot of time on the site structure and the internal linking logic since I am using Hydrogen with Shopify which gives me a lot of control over the code. My main focus right now is definitely the content quality because I want to make sure the pages actually provide value and do not just look like thin programmatic filler. I am curious though if you have any specific tips for getting a large volume of pages indexed efficiently on an aged domain without triggering any red flags early on. Yes, your domain name might be useful, but of course it's not enough on its own. Are you going to sell antivirus software here? Don't forget to add a blog section to your site, and writing comparison articles with other antivirus programs can help with indexing and brand awareness.

@ProfADS nope, i basically sell shared accounts to ai tools like claude and stuff for people who wanna group buy it or entertainment apps like netflix. And yes ofc gonna be adding the blogs and everything, the actual seo day starts today haha yesterday i got the website complete.

before scaling traffic, I'd make sure the site's core pages, categories, and internal linking are fully organized.
a lot of SEO gains come from getting the fundamentals right early.
the domain age alone won't do the heavy lifting.
