Half the "UDP proxies" you see advertised aren't UDP at all — it's TCP with a wrapper like udp2raw, gost UDP-over-TCP or KCPtun. You install a local relay, traffic inside runs over TCP, and only flips back to UDP at the very last hop. Run tcpdump on the receiving side, check the IP protocol — if it's 6 instead of 17, you're being sold a wrapper.

We ran this test on our own network last week. Put a listener on a third-party server, pushed UDP through our proxy to it. Packets arrived as UDP, no wrapping. On the residential side, the source IP belonged to a mobile carrier — a normal end-user address, not a hosting rack. Datacenter came out the same way.

Most "it doesn't work" messages aren't bugs, they're a few common mix-ups. We put together a short guide; here's the gist.

What people get wrong:
• "I only got one IP." You didn't. You get one gateway (rs.geekproxy.io) and a traffic balance. Through that single host you reach the whole pool: millions of real residential and mobile IPs. The exit IP is picked per request. You pay for GB, not per IP.
• "My login keeps changing, is it broken?" No. Your targeting lives inside the username. Add a country, city or session and the login string changes; the host and port stay the same. That's how it's meant to work.
• "Where are the settings?" In the dashboard, the Proxy Configuration panel. It builds the ready login for you (the Proxy List). Copy it and connect.

If your AI agent isn't crashing, don't assume it's actually working. Most agents don't throw an error when they hit a Cloudflare challenge or a geo-blocked empty page. They just read the block as real content and confidently build their output on pure garbage. You get zero errors in your logs, just bad data.
