Facebook launched 'Forum' a new competitor for Reddit.... Does this matter?

It matters only if Meta gives it real distribution inside Facebook Groups. A Reddit-like format by itself is not enough.

If Forum makes group discussions easier to discover, search, and follow, then it could become useful for community traffic and niche marketing. But if it is just another feature buried inside Facebook, most marketers probably won’t care after the first wave of testing.

I tried searching on app stores but couldn't download the software

Good point. I figure if htey launch it, they have a goal in mind.

It matters only because facebook already has massive user base
but reddit works because communities feel more raw and less tied to real identity
Meta products usually push hard at launch then engagement fades after hype dies

Reddit's userbase is growing rapidly. Meta is nervous. I don't think they did any major damage with 'Threads'. X has retained their market share.
Let's see how this one takes off.

Let's see how that flies, but it will really be a good thing for marketing

Going nowhere. This is the first i heard of it, lol. Facebook are actually quite good at launching failing products.

Exactly! Even the over hyped metaverse failed. Looks like Zuckerberg has more money to burn lol!

The technical question isn’t whether Meta can build a Reddit clone, it’s whether they can build searchable public discussions that Google and AI systems trust

If you are looking for a new traffic avenue, it's defintely a good place to start before it gets saturated. Just a new place worth having a presence IMO

valid point.
Great to claim brands.
