Quora becoming stricter with external links?

Recently I have noticed that some Quora answers with external links are getting collapsed more often than before. Even adding links naturally inside answers seems harder compared to a few months ago.

Is anyone else seeing this lately? Curious if Quora changed something in their moderation or spam filters.
 
It was always harder. Add a domain name and redirect the domain to your link. Buy 1$ domain extensions.
This works better I you are already making money with your links.
 
Yes, many people are noticing that. Quora seems much stricter now with repetitive link drops and overly promotional answers. Links still work, but only When the answer is genuinely helpful, detailed and the link feels naturally relevant instead of added just for traffic
 
Quora and Reddit are getting really difficult to advertise these days

Yeah, it does feel like Quora became more sensitive to external links recently even when they’re relevant to the answer
 
By the strictest of standards it's true we value answers over links.

Quora is stricter on link posting so yes your observations are correct.
