Are Instagram ads getting harder to profit from lately?

It is due to the fact that creators are making more engaging content and improving every day, while ads haven’t adapted in the same way. People get bored of ads quickly. You can try influencer marketing.
hmmm sounds like great idea but our page is ads-only content? any other ideas to improve?

If you are already running Ads for your service and getting customers from them. Then you will have the data. This data tells you what works, and signals that identify your ideal buyers. With this data, you can make engaging Ads. What kind of Ads are you running currently? I'm open for a chat. Send me a DM if you want to discuss this further

Instagram ads are basically a money pit these days, with CPMs soaring and creativity dying a slow death. Looks like we're all just doomed to beg for organic reach and pray to the influencer gods

It's true that rising cpms and creative burnout are making Instagram ads less profitable, and organic content plus influencer marketing seem to be gaining traction as a more effective strategy. Many users are likely experiencing lower ROI, therefore exploring alternative methods to reach their audience

yes i've tried AI influence mkt bro, it can get some conversion rate but yah it still cannot compare with human influencer

You are going to have to test and check it. Do a post where you use ads, and then do another one where you only allow the explore page to reach new users; then compare the two. Which ever one gets you more clicks; you can check the analytics and see why and do more of that going forward.

Instagram ads are definitely getting trickier to crack lately with those cpms climbing and creative fatigue hitting hard. Honestly, I think a blend of organic content, influencer collabs, and strategic paid ads is the way to go to maximize your roi

yes ads still work, but they are expensive and creatives burn out fast. honestly, influencer collabs and organic content feels like the safer bet these days.

Feels like CPMs keep going up while creatives burn out way faster than before.

Are you guys still getting good ROI from IG ads in 2026, or is organic + influencer traffic becoming the better play now?
Unfortunately, CPM is getting higher and higher. Either focus on countries with lower CPM or invest heavily into organic + influencer outreach. Small creators have the highest trust from their follower base. I already have a list of 200k+ small creators that are bombing hard in their respective niches. I'd suggest you do the same.

It really depends on the niche. Some categories can be more difficult to convert with Instagram ads due to stricter policies and audience behavior.

We've been trying to convert some leads into our first client with a review automation software that we've made, The Ads, got eyes on us but have not panned out in terms of clients. It's competitive and feels like they want clown-esque reels to be pushed.

Instagram ads still work, but CPMs are higher and creative fatigue happens faster. Many marketers are seeing the best results by combining ads, organic content, and micro-influencers rather than relying on a single channel.
