Consistency in growth comes from matching the right hook formula to the right platform goal. Here is exactly what I use per platform:

Instagram - Focus: Saves and Followers

Specific Number hooks perform best because they feel structured and save-worthy.

"7 caption hooks that grew my client's followers by 4,000 in 30 days."

Pair it with a CTA at the end asking people to save. Instagram's algorithm pushes saved posts to new audiences = more followers.

Facebook - Focus: Likes and Shares

Conversational Story Opening hooks work here because the Facebook audience reads longer.

"Three months ago my client had 200 followers. Last week a single post got 14,000 likes. Here is what changed."

Facebook users share content that feels personal and real. Story hooks trigger that.

TikTok - Focus: Comments and Follows

Bold Claim hooks that challenge common beliefs drive comment debates which push the algorithm.

"Posting more is actually hurting your follower growth and here is the proof."

Controversial but true statements get people commenting to agree or disagree — both help your reach and bring new followers.

The one rule across all platforms:Never open with your name or brand. Open with the reader's pain, desire, or curiosity. Every time.

very nice thanks! one thing I'd add is that hooks only work if the first 1-2 seconds deliver on the promise, otherwise you get fast drop-offs and weaker distribution even if the hook is strong

Hooks do work; however you need to make sure that the video quality of the post is good. In case its not; then automatically the algorithm might not provide it as much as exposure, unless the quality is 1080P or higher. You can even check this yourself. Go to the explore page and see if there are videos anything lower than 1080P. Those videos get more exposure with quality above 1080p.

This is actually a really good breakdown. A lot of people use the same hook style on every platform and then wonder why it doesn’t work. Instagram pushes content people save, Facebook users respond more to stories and TikTok loves posts that get people arguing in the comments. Tbh the last point is probably the most important one. People care about what the content can do for them first, not the creator name or brand.

That last rule about never opening with your brand name is pure gold. Too many people waste the first 3 seconds showcasing their logo like it's a Super Bowl commercial, then wonder why their retention drops off a cliff.

Honestly, these formulas work just as well for paid ads as they do for organic growth. Lately, that TikTok-style 'Bold Claim' hook has been crushing it for FB ads because it triggers so many comment debates. People fighting in the comment section is basically free algorithmic fuel to lower your CPMs.

Yes solving other people's pain points and problems is the most effective way in order to get customers. We also do this on our businesses either online or offline. I totally agree with you. Curiosity though hasn't worked well for us but solving problems is a huge win because we get money to solve other people's problems with pests offline or with website creation and marketing online.
