tiktok randomly syncing contacts without my permission

i have this account that i wanted to keep private. and from the moment i made it i turned off contact syncing etc. tell me why i wake up this morning and its toggled on? i NEVER done this either. now all these people i know irl are showing up in my friend suggestions under (people you may know). i’m actually having a panic attack, i keep blocking them but more keep showing up. i checked EVERYTHING and everything’s off in terms of contact syncing. what the fuck tiktok?

Right, I noticed this too. There's a tiktok account I use which I didn't sync with contacts but I still saw people I may know being suggested to me on the app.
