a Pentium 4 in 2010? lol they started production at the turn of the century. I had the AMD Athlon 64 i think, i'm pretty sure that was my first 64 chip. They don't make chips that last that long now! lol now they are extinct after 5-6 years max! lol

Hey, some of us were just barely surviving not thriving!

It was about then that I figured out how to find kernel error info etc, and fix computers. I found this desktop on that one site for $20 and went to check the errors and they were nothing a windows reinstall could not fix!

I just remember having the audacity to think i knew about stuff like bios settings, and kernals at the time (i had a duel boot linux for a while) But my recent upgrade to windows 11, and i had proper skid marks in my pants from having to open the bios and check it was uptated. lol

I done so many windows 95 installs, that i remembered the serial code off by heart. lol

Ignorance is bliss. When you know more about computers, and you use them everyday, you know how easy a disaster can happen and get super paranoid! lol At least I do, the more i do everyday, the more my paranoia about my computer breaking, doubles!

I think i might need special medication when we get to the AMD Quantum 24k CPU!

Me too! When my winxp was a year out of support, I used gparted to partition HDD and install linux mint, I thought it was genius!

Tandy 2000 with 128kb RAM!
