What actually works for X/Twitter growth in 2026?

Hey guys, been trying to grow a few X accounts lately and honestly the reach feels super inconsistent. Some replies/posts get impressions, then next day everything feels dead. Wanted to ask people actively growing on X right now — what’s actually working for you? Are you focusing more on replies under viral posts, original content, threads, consistency, verification, etc?

Feels way harder than before so curious what people are seeing now.

Successfully managing several X accounts almost requires a day job.
The safest strategy is to reply to relevant topics and to the posts of accounts with great influence. Also, ideally, your comment post should be immediately after the publication of the initial one, in order to parasitize its reach. Of course, if the AI writes a random comment for you, don't expect much.

I joined the X creator program far back in 2023/2024, and of course you can say the algorithm has changed a lot since that time.

To get verified this season is a whole lot of work that is needed on the accounts. The rules are stricter and stronger if you want to go through alternative means of generating traffic/views.

As @examplens.1000941 said, take your time to join a community of like minds where you will be among the first set of people to arrive at their post and engage on it, not to forget having a BLUE TICK MARK [which gives you an edge in terms of ranking --- that's if your account has not been shadowbanned].

Also, be careful not to respond or reply to accounts on X that have violated its rules & regulations, because if you do so, with time the algorithm will add your account to the list of "shadowbanned accounts"

Posting regularly and being consistent also helps in the growth of your account without spamming X feed.

Yeah, timing feels huge on X now. Early replies under big accounts still seem to be the easiest way to get impressions fast. And I agree on AI comments - generic replies are dead now, they get ignored instantly. Blue tick probably helps too, at least for visibility.

The mostreliable thing Ive seen is valuable replies plus niche consistency.
A lot of people only post on their own timeline and wonder why nothing happens. In the beginning, replying under bigger niche accounts is usually faster for visibility.
After that, your own posts need to be clear and useful Strong opinions, simple threads, real results, and personal lessons usually work better than generic AIstyle content. Hashtags don’t matter much compared to the quality of the post and who engages withit early
